Commissioner Burney honored


District 5 Clay County Commissioner Ricky Burney was honored with a proclamation at the Clay County Commission’s monthly meeting on February 14th. Commission Chairman Shane Davidson read aloud the proclamation, which recognized Burney for his unquestionable competency, accomplishments and leadership during his six consecutive terms.

Fire claims home, family loses everything

On Sunday, February 13th, Coleta Valley Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire at 555 Horns Valley Road. The home was fully involved upon arrival. Ashland Fire Department responded to a fire call at Tru Cabinetry on February 9th.
